The Start of a New School Year

I have decided as part of my teaching practice, I want to be more reflective of what I do and feel in my day to day duties as a teacher at Silverado High School. I hope to write in my blog at least once a week and then at the end of the year go back and read it all to see how I have grown, changed, and managed throughout the year. It is the night before, the first day with students and I am excited, anxious and admittedly a little sad that the summer is over. The first week of school is always a little crazy as I try to figure out my students and place them correctly. My goals for this year are to finish my ELL website and in the process organize all of my curricular units. I also hope to get to know more of the staff members better. It is very easy to just stay in my classroom, but I want to develop better relationships with the people at work as I think there are some great people here. Finally, I want to be more reflective by keeping this blog and also creating an eportfolio.
